Homepage of the Department of Thermal Separation Processes. The department
is part of the Institute of Process- and Chemical Engineering of the Faculty of
Engineering.
The teaching encompassed separation processes, heat and
mass transfer - with or without phase changes - including the design of
technical equipment.
The main research areas are concerned with thermal
separation techniques, such as crystallization from solution and the melt,
extraction, absorption, adsorption and desorption. In addition, research on the
subject of producing and characterising emulsions is also carried out here.
